At Just Dashes, we take pride in delivering high-quality, factory-authentic dash restorations. But before we can lock in your final quote or get your project into our schedule, we require something simple—but essential: a photo inspection of you dash out of the vehicle.
Why Do We Ask for Photos?
There’s no one-size-fits-all restoration. Even two dashboards from the same make and model can vary drastically depending on damage, modifications, and prior repairs. Photos allow us to:
• Assess the true condition of your dash
• Catch problem areas early (like missing corners, warped frames, or brittle substructures)
• Ensure we’re restoring the correct parts
• Give you a more accurate price range and avoid surprises down the road
It’s also the fastest way to move your project forward—no need to send anything in until we’re on the same page.

Best Practices for Your Photo Inspection
You don’t need fancy equipment—your phone is perfect. What matters is clarity and coverage. You can simply reply to any of our emails, here’s what to email us:
✅ Whole dash from the front
✅ Whole dash from the back
✅ One photo from each side (driver/passenger)
✅ Close-ups of any damaged areas, modifications, or mounting points

Pro tip: natural lighting helps avoid shadows or glare. Set the dash on a clean surface (grass, table, floor) and take photos from eye level.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
🚫 Sending photos of the dash still in the car
– the reason why we asked for photos of the dash outside of the vehicle is that there are certain angles, such as the backside, that cannot be seen and we need to determine if there is any substructure work needed.
🚫 Only sending one or two angles
– This leaves too much unknown and can delay the process.
🚫 Photos taken in the dark or with blur
– If we can’t see the details, we’ll have to ask again.
🚫 Leaving out damage you already know about
– We’re not here to judge—we’re here to help. Showing everything up front ensures an accurate plan and avoids change orders later.
